At first I was a little bit confused when I read the description for Apocalyptical. It was supposed to show three friends during a zombie apocalypse, but for a typical Z-situation it was missing some gore. It took me a few minutes to get to the core of this picture. It is not about the apocalypse. It is about the things they lost and about the things they got left. It is about friendship, a friendship so strong, that it helps these three boys to survive the end of the world. The poem made by onmitsu.deviantart.com also helps to understand the story more fully and gives this artwork the right words, and I hope to have found the appropiate soundscape to express the strong image of loss and hope in a desperate world that is so wonderfully shown in this picture.
